OYFP Partner Profile: Bay Area Women and Children's Center

The Bay Area Women's and Children's Center is a non-profit organization located in the heart of the Tenderloin of San Francisco that provides information and referrals to low-income women, children, and families in our community. Drop-in services include job listings, assistance in resume writing, case management and referrals in all areas. BAWCC distributes free clothing to women and children which includes a career closet for women seeking employment, and also publishes bi-annual Emergency Resource Sheets for women and families, an Employment/Education/Training Guide, and a Tenderloin Children's News. Half of the organization's work is advocacy and policy planning on issues of low-income children and families.
